Background on the F-series Atlas

Nissan's Atlas is a conventional Japanese light truck: forward control, a separate ladder chassis, a tilting cab over the engine and leaf-sprung axles. The F-series covers the smaller end of the range. Most were sold as bare chassis-cab units and bodied afterwards, so no two are quite alike behind the cab.

The odometer shows 7,500 miles, about 12,100 km as the Japanese-market instrument was marked. That is a low reading for a car of this kind coming out of the domestic fleet.

Why this configuration

This is a light commercial a class above the kei category: a bigger payload, a bigger engine and a cab-over chassis built for a working life rather than a private one. Vehicles of this type are usually supplied as a chassis cab and bodied to suit, so what sits behind the cab varies from one to the next.

Light commercials are quoted individually because their freight cost varies with the body as much as the chassis. Tell us where it is headed and we will work out a figure that includes getting it there.

Buying this one

Because it was built in 1998, the federal 25-year exemption applies and the usual FMVSS and EPA conformity requirements fall away. We handle the import and title paperwork, and delivery is available to all fifty states. There is a walkaround video on this listing alongside the photographs. Ask us for a price and include your delivery state; we will quote the vehicle and the transport together.
