The HH4 Acty Van explained
The HH4 is the four-wheel-drive version of Honda's 1990s Acty Van and Street. Underneath the enclosed body it is an HA4 — the same 656cc E07A under the load floor, the same transfer arrangement feeding the front axle from behind the engine. The van body adds a lockable, weatherproof load bay and rear side glass, which is what separates it from the truck rather than anything mechanical.
The odometer stands at 14,200 miles, which is about 22,900 km on the kilometre-marked gauge these were built with — the lower end of the range Japanese-market kei commercials show when they leave the domestic fleet.
Why this configuration
Four-wheel drive under a van body is the specification for people who need the load bay dry and the vehicle capable of leaving a made road. The front axle is selectable from the cab, and the enclosed body adds nothing to the drivetrain's job beyond a little weight and a great deal of security.
This van is quoted on enquiry. Vans take a different freight rate from flat-bed trucks because of their height, so we would rather work the figure out against your actual delivery address than publish one that does not survive contact with the quote.
Next steps
With a 1996 build year it clears the 25-year rule that applies to importing vehicles never sold new in the US. The paperwork side — import documentation and title — is our job, and we deliver anywhere in the US. A walkaround clip sits with the photographs on this page. There is no list price on this one. Send us a message with your location and we will put a figure to it.
