On the HH5 Acty Van
HH5 is the rear-drive van from the Acty generation that arrived in 1999. It carries the fuel-injected 656cc E07Z under the rear load floor and was drawn to the post-1998 kei dimensions, so it is both longer and wider than the HH3 van it replaced. The additional width shows mostly in the rear door aperture, which is the measurement that matters on a van of this size.
The clock shows 59,000 miles — call it 95,000 km, since the instrument was marked in kilometres when it left Japan. That is mid-range for a Honda kei vehicle of this era arriving in the United States.
What the specification means
An Acty van is the truck with a roof over the load bay, and because the engine lies beneath that bay rather than under the cab, the floor is flat from bulkhead to tailgate. Rear drive and an enclosed body make it a dry, lockable, square box on a vehicle you can park anywhere — which is the entire case for a kei van over a kei truck.
This van is quoted on enquiry. Vans take a different freight rate from flat-bed trucks because of their height, so we would rather work the figure out against your actual delivery address than publish one that does not survive contact with the quote.
How the purchase works
Because it was built in 1999, the federal 25-year exemption applies and the usual FMVSS and EPA conformity requirements fall away. We take care of the entry documents and the title, then arrange shipping to wherever you are. You can also watch the walkaround video above before deciding. We price this one on request — get in touch and we will send a quote.
