About This 1999 Subaru Sambar
This particular kei van is a 1999 Subaru Sambar EFI Dias Supercharged 4WD, PS, PW, PL, ABS, Auto, wearing Polar White / Quartz Silver Metallic, and it is here rather than on a boat. Shifting is by an automatic transmission. The plate on this one reads TV2-004989.
Know the TV2 Sambar Van
The TV2 is the four-wheel-drive Sambar van of 1999 onwards, mechanically the TT2 truck under an enclosed body. It keeps the rear-mounted EN07 inline-four, and the Dias versions of this bodyshell were where Subaru put the supercharged engine, the glass roof panel and the higher trim levels.
The recorded reading is 92,374 miles — somewhere around 148,700 km. Subaru built the rear-mounted EN07 for the commercial duty cycle these vehicles were sold into, and high five-figure readings are the norm rather than the exception.

Why this configuration
The kei van format is a statutory 3.4-metre footprint with almost all of it turned into enclosed, flat-floored load space. The engine lives under the cab, the floor is flat from the bulkhead back, and the result holds more than its exterior dimensions suggest is possible.
In this band a kei van is carrying specification: four-wheel drive, a turbocharged engine, a high-roof body or a factory conversion. The plain commercial versions do not reach this far.
