The U62T Minicab, in context

The U62T is the four-wheel-drive Minicab truck of 1999 onwards, built to the post-1998 kei standard and produced for a decade and a half. Mitsubishi kept the 657cc 3G83 three-cylinder and added fuel injection, and continued to offer a low-range transfer case and power-take-off provision on work specifications. Nissan sold the same truck as the Clipper throughout this run.

The odometer sits at 3,500 miles, in the order of 5,600 km in the original units — a modest figure for a Mitsubishi kei vehicle returning from Japanese service.

The practical side

The 2Hi-4Hi-4Lo marking on a Minicab means a two-speed transfer case: high range for the road, low range for pulling.
