S210-series Hijet: the short version
S210 is the four-wheel-drive Hijet of 1999 to 2004, built to the post-1998 kei dimensions with the fuel-injected, twin-cam 659cc EF. Daihatsu offered this chassis in more factory configurations than any rival: flat bed, deck van, panel van, scissor-lift, hydraulic tipper and power-take-off driven bodies all left the line on the S210. Low-range transfer cases and locking rear differentials were available on the work specifications.
The gauge shows 76,500 miles, around 123,100 km. Daihatsu has been building kei commercials since the 1950s, overwhelmingly for working owners, and readings in this range are a normal part of that history.
How this one is set up
The appeal of a 4WD Hijet is the combination of a sub-3.5-metre footprint with drive to all four wheels: it will get into a space a pickup cannot and still haul itself out of a wet field. Daihatsu built this chassis for working customers, with the engine under the cab floor driving the rear axle and a selectable front axle for when the surface demands it.
We quote this truck individually. Where it has to travel is the single biggest swing on the final figure, so the honest thing is to ask for your delivery address first and give you one number afterwards.
Buying this one
The 2001 build year puts it outside the 25-year window that restricts importing vehicles built to a foreign specification. The paperwork side — import documentation and title — is our job, and we deliver anywhere in the US. A walkaround video is included with this listing. There is no list price on this one. Send us a message with your location and we will put a figure to it.
