About This 1999 Daihatsu Hijet
The vehicle on this page is a 1999 Daihatsu Hijet Van (White), imported and road-ready for the paperwork stage. Built as 2WD with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Stamped on the plate: S200V-0007342.
Where the S200-series Hijet fits
The S200 codes are the rear-drive Hijets of 1999 to 2004, the first drawn to the enlarged kei standard. Daihatsu moved the range to the twin-cam, 12-valve EF-VE version of its 659cc three-cylinder with fuel injection, which was a real step in refinement over the single-cam engine before it. The Jumbo extended cab, which steals a little bed length to give the driver a reclining seat, belongs to this generation.
The gauge shows 83,400 miles, around 134,200 km. Daihatsu has been building kei commercials since the 1950s, overwhelmingly for working owners, and readings in this range are a normal part of that history.

How this one is set up
A two-wheel-drive van gives you the same footprint as the equivalent truck with a dry, lockable, weatherproof load bay instead of an open deck. Nothing is lost mechanically — the engine, chassis and running gear are the truck's — and what is gained is the ability to leave tools and stock in it.
The $5,000 to $8,000 band is the heart of the imported van market. For a working vehicle that has to keep tools dry and out of sight, it is the point where supply and specification meet.
Paperwork and shipping
The 1999 build year puts it outside the 25-year window that restricts importing vehicles built to a foreign specification. We take care of the entry documents and the title, then arrange shipping to wherever you are. You can also watch the walkaround video above before deciding. Asking $5,210.
