About This 1999 Mitsubishi Minicab
This is a 1999 Mitsubishi Minicab Van, recorded as Blue, sitting in our stock and ready to ship. Listed as 2WD, driving through an automatic transmission. Recorded against chassis U61V-0004973.
What the U61V Minicab Van is
U61V is the rear-drive Minicab van of 1999 onwards, on the wider post-1998 kei footprint. The fuel-injected 657cc 3G83 lives under the cab floor and the load bay behind it is a plain square box. This is the generation Mitsubishi kept in production longest, and later examples were also sold wearing Nissan Clipper badges.
Odometer: 95,400 miles, near 153,500 km. The 3G83 was Mitsubishi's standard kei commercial engine for two decades, which tells you what duty cycle it was engineered around.

Reading the specification
A two-wheel-drive van gives you the same footprint as the equivalent truck with a dry, lockable, weatherproof load bay instead of an open deck. Nothing is lost mechanically — the engine, chassis and running gear are the truck's — and what is gained is the ability to leave tools and stock in it.
Under $5,000 buys an older Japanese van with a dry, lockable load bay — a fraction of what any comparable work van costs domestically, with the trade-off being age and the reading on the clock.
The buying process
The 1999 build year puts it outside the 25-year window that restricts importing vehicles built to a foreign specification. You do not deal with the import paperwork; we do, and we organise delivery to your address. A walkaround clip sits with the photographs on this page. Priced at $4,570; message us and we will hold it for you.
