About This 2001 Daihatsu Hijet
This particular kei truck is a 2001 Daihatsu Hijet Truck, white over its original panels, and it is here rather than on a boat. It came out of Japan as 4WD with an automatic transmission. The chassis plate reads S210P-0099701.
A little context on the S210-series Hijet
S210 is the four-wheel-drive Hijet of 1999 to 2004, built to the post-1998 kei dimensions with the fuel-injected, twin-cam 659cc EF. Daihatsu offered this chassis in more factory configurations than any rival: flat bed, deck van, panel van, scissor-lift, hydraulic tipper and power-take-off driven bodies all left the line on the S210. Low-range transfer cases and locking rear differentials were available on the work specifications.
The gauge shows 78,600 miles, around 126,500 km. Daihatsu has been building kei commercials since the 1950s, overwhelmingly for working owners, and readings in this range are a normal part of that history.

Reading the specification
A four-wheel-drive Hijet is the configuration Daihatsu sold to Japanese farms and construction trades, and the body options reflect it — this is the chassis that got the tippers, the lifts and the power-take-off drives. Drive runs rearward from the under-cab engine with a selectable front axle, so the truck behaves as a rear-driver on tarmac and brings the front wheels in only when asked.
Rather than list a figure, we quote this one when you ask. That way the number you get already includes getting the truck to your address, which is the part most online prices leave out.
