About This 1998 Subaru Sambar
A Japanese import you can buy now — this 1998 Subaru Sambar Van — the paint is down as Gold. Drive is 4WD, through a 5-speed manual transmission. Identified by chassis number KV4-183661.
The KV4 Sambar Van explained
The KV4 is the four-wheel-drive Sambar van of the 1990s. Subaru's rear engine placement is more noticeable in the van than the truck, because the enclosed body puts the whole cargo area in front of the engine rather than over it. The 658cc EN07 four-cylinder is shared with the KS-series trucks, and Dias versions of this van were offered with a supercharger.
It shows 64,100 miles on a gauge originally calibrated in kilometres, which puts it near 103,200 km. That sits in the middle of the band Sambars of this generation generally arrive at.

What you are buying
Four-wheel drive under a van body is the specification for people who need the load bay dry and the vehicle capable of leaving a made road. The front axle is selectable from the cab, and the enclosed body adds nothing to the drivetrain's job beyond a little weight and a great deal of security.
This van is quoted on enquiry. Vans take a different freight rate from flat-bed trucks because of their height, so we would rather work the figure out against your actual delivery address than publish one that does not survive contact with the quote.
The buying process
Because it was built in 1998, the federal 25-year exemption applies and the usual FMVSS and EPA conformity requirements fall away. You do not deal with the import paperwork; we do, and we organise delivery to your address. There is a walkaround video on this listing alongside the photographs. There is no list price on this one. Send us a message with your location and we will put a figure to it.
