The HM1 Vamos explained
The Vamos is the passenger-trimmed member of the Acty family, and HM1 is the front-wheel-free, rear-drive version built from 1999. It keeps the Acty's mid-mounted 656cc E07Z and adds proper seating, carpet and glass in place of a cargo bay. Honda positioned it as a small recreational van rather than a commercial, which is why so many left the factory with higher trim levels than any Acty van.
The clock shows 67,900 miles — call it 109,300 km, since the instrument was marked in kilometres when it left Japan. That is mid-range for a Honda kei vehicle of this era arriving in the United States.
The practical side
An Acty van is the truck with a roof over the load bay, and because the engine lies beneath that bay rather than under the cab, the floor is flat from bulkhead to tailgate. Rear drive and an enclosed body make it a dry, lockable, square box on a vehicle you can park anywhere — which is the entire case for a kei van over a kei truck.
This van is quoted on enquiry. Vans take a different freight rate from flat-bed trucks because of their height, so we would rather work the figure out against your actual delivery address than publish one that does not survive contact with the quote.
How to take it
With a 1999 build year it clears the 25-year rule that applies to importing vehicles never sold new in the US. Import documentation and titling are handled at our end, and we ship nationwide. A walkaround video is included with this listing. Pricing on this vehicle is quoted per enquiry; tell us where it is going and we will come back to you.
