The HM1 Vamos, in context
The Vamos is the passenger-trimmed member of the Acty family, and HM1 is the front-wheel-free, rear-drive version built from 1999. It keeps the Acty's mid-mounted 656cc E07Z and adds proper seating, carpet and glass in place of a cargo bay. Honda positioned it as a small recreational van rather than a commercial, which is why so many left the factory with higher trim levels than any Acty van.
This one reads 96,100 miles, about 154,700 km. Honda built the mid-mounted E07 engine for commercial use rather than for a passenger car, and figures in the high five digits are routine across the generation.
Reading the specification
An Acty van is the truck with a roof over the load bay, and because the engine lies beneath that bay rather than under the cab, the floor is flat from bulkhead to tailgate. Rear drive and an enclosed body make it a dry, lockable, square box on a vehicle you can park anywhere — which is the entire case for a kei van over a kei truck.
This van is quoted on enquiry. Vans take a different freight rate from flat-bed trucks because of their height, so we would rather work the figure out against your actual delivery address than publish one that does not survive contact with the quote.
Making it yours
Built in 2000, it sits the far side of the 25-year federal import cut-off. Customs entry, import documentation and title work are all done here, and we arrange transport to any state. A walkaround clip sits with the photographs on this page. Ask us for a price and include your delivery state; we will quote the vehicle and the transport together.
