About This 1999 Suzuki Carry
Out of Japan and into our US warehouse: a 1999 Suzuki Carry Truck in White. Our record shows 4WD and a 5-speed manual gearbox. Our stock reference for it is BUC95061.
About the Carry Truck
The Carry Suzuki introduced in 1999 was built to the enlarged kei dimensions and moved the 657cc engine to fuel injection. The cab grew in both directions over the truck it replaced, which on a vehicle capped at 3.40 metres overall is the difference buyers actually notice. Work specifications continued with low-range transfer cases and locking rear differentials.
The odometer records 24,726 miles, which is in the region of 39,800 km in the units the dial was printed in — toward the low end for a Carry-family vehicle coming out of Japan.

What it is for
The 4WD Carry is the default working kei truck in much of rural Japan. The layout is the orthodox one — cab over the front axle, engine under the floor, longest bed in the class for the length — with a front axle you select from the cab. On a farm track or a building plot that is the whole argument for it.
The $5,000 to $8,000 band is where most imported kei trucks sit, and it is where supply is deepest — which means the most choice of year, drivetrain and body style. Our price guide breaks down what moves a truck between bands.
