A little context on the HA2 Acty
HA2 is the four-wheel-drive Acty of the 1988 range, still on the 547cc E05A that the pre-1990 kei rules capped at 550cc. The drive to the front axle is taken from a transfer box behind the mid-mounted engine, which is an unusual arrangement — most small four-wheel drives send power backwards from a front engine, and the Acty does the opposite. These early 550cc cars are now the scarcest Actys of any generation.
This one reads 75,600 miles, about 121,700 km. Honda built the mid-mounted E07 engine for commercial use rather than for a passenger car, and figures in the high five digits are routine across the generation.
Putting it to work
Four-wheel drive on a mid-engined Acty is an unusual arrangement and it has a practical consequence: the engine's mass already sits over the rear axle, and anything loaded into the bed sits on top of it. Weight goes where the traction is before the front axle is ever called on. The flat bed floor is a second consequence of the same layout, since there is no propshaft tunnel running under it.
Rather than list a figure, we quote this one when you ask. That way the number you get already includes getting the truck to your address, which is the part most online prices leave out.
How the purchase works
Built in 1989, it sits the far side of the 25-year federal import cut-off. Import documentation and titling are handled at our end, and we ship nationwide. A walkaround clip sits with the photographs on this page. We price this one on request — get in touch and we will send a quote.
