About This 1991 Daihatsu Hijet
Among the Daihatsu vehicles we currently hold is this 1991 Daihatsu Hijet Truck Jumbo, recorded as White. It is 2WD with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The plate on this one reads S82P-070362.
Know the S82P Hijet
S82P is the rear-drive Hijet truck of the early 1990s, from the run Daihatsu updated to the new 660cc limit with the EF three-cylinder. It is the last Hijet before the 1994 redesign, and the narrow pre-1998 kei dimensions make it visibly more compact than anything that followed. Daihatsu has built the Hijet without a break since 1960, so this is a middle chapter of a very long book.
The reading is 32,600 miles, which converts to roughly 52,500 km. Daihatsu's EF three-cylinder was fitted to the Hijet across two decades and several body styles, so the engine family has a very long track record behind it.

The practical side
Rear-wheel drive is the standard configuration for Daihatsu's kei commercials and the one most of them were built in. Without a front axle and transfer case there is less to service, less to go wrong and slightly less weight to carry around, which on a vehicle with a 660cc engine is not nothing. For sealed surfaces — a yard, an estate road, a campus, a market — it is all the drivetrain the job needs.
Mid-band pricing on a kei truck generally reflects a sound, unremarkable specification — the four-wheel-drive, five-speed, flat-bed combination that the majority of buyers are looking for in the first place.
How to take it
Built in 1991, it sits the far side of the 25-year federal import cut-off. We take care of the entry documents and the title, then arrange shipping to wherever you are. You can also watch the walkaround video above before deciding. Listed at $5,380 — tell us it is the one and we will take it off the market.
