About This 1996 Mitsubishi Minicab
Here in our US inventory: a 1996 Mitsubishi Minicab Truck — the paint is down as White, ready for a new owner. Power reaches the road as 2WD, via a 4-speed manual gearbox. The plate on this one reads U41T-0418080.
What the U41T Minicab is
The U41T is the rear-drive Minicab truck of 1991 to 1998, powered by Mitsubishi's 657cc 3G83 three-cylinder mounted under the cab floor. Mitsubishi built the Minicab in flat-bed, panel, dump and specialist forms across this run, and supplied the same vehicle to Nissan, which sold it as the Clipper. It is a straightforward cab-over truck with no unusual engineering to catch anyone out.
The clock reads 54,200 miles, roughly 87,200 km on the scale it was built with. Mitsubishi kei vehicles of this era turn up across a broad range of readings and this is squarely within it.

What it is for
Two-wheel drive on a kei truck means the rear axle only — no transfer case, no front propshaft, fewer moving parts and a little less weight. On made surfaces it loses nothing to the four-wheel-drive version, and it is the configuration the majority of these trucks were built in for Japanese urban and light-commercial work.
Below $5,000 you are buying age and mileage rather than specification. What you get for it is a road-registerable vehicle with a real bed and a real cab for less than a decent side-by-side costs.
Ordering and delivery
At 1996 it is past the 25-year mark, which is the line that decides whether a Japanese-market vehicle can be imported at all. We handle the import and title paperwork, and delivery is available to all fifty states. A walkaround clip sits with the photographs on this page. Priced at $3,920; message us and we will hold it for you.
