Where the Carry Truck fits
The Carry is the oldest continuously produced nameplate in the kei truck class, running since 1961, and the 1990s trucks use Suzuki's 657cc F6A three-cylinder under the cab floor. Suzuki sold more of them than anyone sold of anything else in the segment and supplied the same vehicle to Mazda as the Scrum, which is why parts and aftermarket support for this era are the best in the class.
Shown on the clock: 29,350 miles, near enough 47,200 km. Suzuki's F6A and K6A three-cylinders were produced in enormous numbers across the Carry, Every and Jimny ranges, so the model line's service history as a whole is unusually well documented.
The configuration
The 4WD Carry is the default working kei truck in much of rural Japan. The layout is the orthodox one — cab over the front axle, engine under the floor, longest bed in the class for the length — with a front axle you select from the cab. On a farm track or a building plot that is the whole argument for it.
This is the middle of the kei truck market. A 1997 Suzuki Carry Truck at this money is the ordinary working configuration rather than a specialist one: a straight bed, a common chassis, and the parts supply that comes with a model sold in volume.
Next steps
Because it was built in 1997, the federal 25-year exemption applies and the usual FMVSS and EPA conformity requirements fall away. Import documentation and titling are handled at our end, and we ship nationwide. Listed at $5,700 — tell us it is the one and we will take it off the market.
