About This 1999 Subaru Sambar
This is a 1999 Subaru Sambar Truck (White), sitting in our stock and ready to ship. Power reaches the road as 4WD, via an automatic gearbox. The chassis plate reads TT2-014650.
Where the TT2 Sambar fits
The TT2 is the four-wheel-drive version of the last Sambar truck Subaru designed itself, built from 1999 to 2012 with the 658cc EN07 four still mounted behind the rear axle. Fuel injection was standard across this generation and a supercharged EN07 was offered in the range. Because Subaru switched the Sambar to a Daihatsu platform afterwards, the TT2 is the final four-cylinder, rear-engined kei truck anyone built.
The recorded reading is 83,600 miles — somewhere around 134,500 km. Subaru built the rear-mounted EN07 for the commercial duty cycle these vehicles were sold into, and high five-figure readings are the norm rather than the exception.

Putting it to work
Selecting four-wheel drive in a Sambar brings in a front axle on a vehicle whose engine already sits at the very back, behind the rear axle line. That rearward weight bias is deliberate and it is unique in the class. The bed above it stays flat and unobstructed because nothing mechanical runs underneath it.

To proceed
At 1999 it is past the 25-year mark, which is the line that decides whether a Japanese-market vehicle can be imported at all. The paperwork side — import documentation and title — is our job, and we deliver anywhere in the US. There is a walkaround video on this listing alongside the photographs. There is no list price on this one. Send us a message with your location and we will put a figure to it.
