Background on the DB52T Carry
The DB52T is the four-wheel-drive Carry truck of 1999 onwards, built to the post-1998 kei standard of 3.40 metres by 1.48 metres. Its fuel-injected 657cc F6A gave up the carburettor that the previous generation used, which is the main mechanical difference between a DB52T and a DD51T. Suzuki continued to offer a low-range transfer case and a locking rear differential on work-specification trucks in this range.
Odometer reading 55,300 miles, about 89,000 km. For a 660cc Suzuki commercial engine that is an unremarkable figure within the range these vehicles are exported at.
The practical side
The 4WD Carry is the default working kei truck in much of rural Japan. The layout is the orthodox one — cab over the front axle, engine under the floor, longest bed in the class for the length — with a front axle you select from the cab. On a farm track or a building plot that is the whole argument for it.
This is the middle of the kei truck market. A 1999 Suzuki Carry at this money is the ordinary working configuration rather than a specialist one: a straight bed, a common chassis, and the parts supply that comes with a model sold in volume.
Next steps
Built in 1999, it sits the far side of the 25-year federal import cut-off. Import documentation and titling are handled at our end, and we ship nationwide. The figure is $6,300, and a message is all it takes to put it aside.
