About This 2000 Daihatsu Hijet
Here in our US inventory: a 2000 Daihatsu Hijet Truck, finished in White, ready for a new owner. Specified 2WD, shifted by an automatic gearbox. The chassis identifier is S200P-0038379.
On the S200-series Hijet
The S200 codes are the rear-drive Hijets of 1999 to 2004, the first drawn to the enlarged kei standard. Daihatsu moved the range to the twin-cam, 12-valve EF-VE version of its 659cc three-cylinder with fuel injection, which was a real step in refinement over the single-cam engine before it. The Jumbo extended cab, which steals a little bed length to give the driver a reclining seat, belongs to this generation.
The reading is 47,400 miles, which converts to roughly 76,300 km. Daihatsu's EF three-cylinder was fitted to the Hijet across two decades and several body styles, so the engine family has a very long track record behind it.

The practical side
Rear-wheel drive is the standard configuration for Daihatsu's kei commercials and the one most of them were built in. Without a front axle and transfer case there is less to service, less to go wrong and slightly less weight to carry around, which on a vehicle with a 660cc engine is not nothing. For sealed surfaces — a yard, an estate road, a campus, a market — it is all the drivetrain the job needs.
We quote this truck individually. Where it has to travel is the single biggest swing on the final figure, so the honest thing is to ask for your delivery address first and give you one number afterwards.
To proceed
With a 2000 build year it clears the 25-year rule that applies to importing vehicles never sold new in the US. Customs entry, import documentation and title work are all done here, and we arrange transport to any state. There is a walkaround video on this listing alongside the photographs.
