About This 1997 Honda Acty
Out of Japan and into our US warehouse: a 1997 Honda Acty Truck, wearing White. This is the 4WD version, with a 4-speed manual transmission. The number on the plate is HA4-2336533.
HA4 Acty: the short version
HA4 is the four-wheel-drive Acty truck of 1990 to 1999 and the most numerous Acty on the US market. Honda put the 656cc E07A under the bed, nearly flat, and ran drive forward to the front axle from behind it — the opposite of almost everything else in the class. The result handles like a mid-engined vehicle, carries its load directly over the driven rear wheels, and keeps a completely flat deck floor because nothing is in the way of it.
The clock shows 70,200 miles — call it 113,000 km, since the instrument was marked in kilometres when it left Japan. That is mid-range for a Honda kei vehicle of this era arriving in the United States.

What it is for
What a 4WD Acty gives you over the two-wheel-drive version is a front axle you can bring in when the surface stops cooperating — wet grass, loose gravel, a muddy field gate. The rest of the truck is unchanged: the same mid-mounted engine beneath the bed, the same low flat deck, the same cab that starts at the front bumper.
This sits in the cheapest band of the market. At this level a 1997 Honda Acty Truck is competing with used garden machinery and utility vehicles on price while offering a cab, a heater and a licence plate, which is the argument most buyers at this end are making.
Making it yours
At 1997 it is past the 25-year mark, which is the line that decides whether a Japanese-market vehicle can be imported at all. We handle the import and title paperwork, and delivery is available to all fifty states. A walkaround video is included with this listing. Asking $4,490. Contact us and we will reserve it against your name.
