DC51T Carry: the short version

The DC51T is the rear-drive Carry truck of 1991 to 1999. Suzuki put the 657cc F6A three-cylinder under the seats in a cab-over layout, which is the conventional kei truck arrangement and the reason the Carry has the longest bed in the class for its length. The Carry nameplate has run continuously since 1961, so parts and aftermarket support for this generation are about as good as the segment gets.

The practical side

The Carry formula has barely changed since 1961: cab pushed over the front axle, engine tucked beneath the floor, and every remaining millimetre of the statutory length given over to the bed.
