About the DD51T Carry
DD51T is the four-wheel-drive Carry built from 1991 to 1999, and it is one of the most widely exported kei trucks of its era. The 657cc F6A sits beneath the cab floor and drives the rear axle, with a selectable front axle and, on many trucks, an extra-low crawler gear in the gearbox. Suzuki also supplied this generation to Mazda, which sold it as the Scrum.
Odometer reading 50,000 miles, about 80,500 km. For a 660cc Suzuki commercial engine that is an unremarkable figure within the range these vehicles are exported at.
The practical side
The Carry formula has barely changed since 1961: cab pushed over the front axle, engine tucked beneath the floor, and every remaining millimetre of the statutory length given over to the bed. The result is the longest load deck in the class for the overall dimensions, on the best-supported running gear in the segment.
The $5,000 to $8,000 band is where most imported kei trucks sit, and it is where supply is deepest — which means the most choice of year, drivetrain and body style. Our price guide breaks down what moves a truck between bands.
Getting it to you
A 1998 build date places this vehicle beyond the 25-year threshold that governs importing a non-US-market car into the United States. Customs entry, import documentation and title work are all done here, and we arrange transport to any state. Priced at $5,355; message us and we will hold it for you.
