About the DD51T Carry
DD51T is the four-wheel-drive Carry built from 1991 to 1999, and it is one of the most widely exported kei trucks of its era. The 657cc F6A sits beneath the cab floor and drives the rear axle, with a selectable front axle and, on many trucks, an extra-low crawler gear in the gearbox. Suzuki also supplied this generation to Mazda, which sold it as the Scrum.
Shown on the clock: 26,874 miles, near enough 43,200 km. Suzuki's F6A and K6A three-cylinders were produced in enormous numbers across the Carry, Every and Jimny ranges, so the model line's service history as a whole is unusually well documented.
How this one is set up
Four-wheel drive on a Carry means a selectable front axle on a truck that is otherwise rear-driven from an engine beneath the cab. Suzuki sold more of these than anyone sold of anything else in the class, which matters in a practical way: the running gear is the best-documented and best-supported in the kei segment, and the trucks turn up with the widest range of factory work options.
This is the middle of the kei truck market. A 1998 Suzuki Carry at this money is the ordinary working configuration rather than a specialist one: a straight bed, a common chassis, and the parts supply that comes with a model sold in volume.
How to take it
Because it was built in 1998, the federal 25-year exemption applies and the usual FMVSS and EPA conformity requirements fall away. Import documentation and titling are handled at our end, and we ship nationwide. The figure is $5,037, and a message is all it takes to put it aside.
