Where the S110-series Hijet fits
S110 is the four-wheel-drive version of the Hijet Daihatsu built from 1994 to 1999, using the 659cc EF three-cylinder. Work-specification trucks on this chassis — the Climber and the various dump bodies — were offered with a two-speed transfer case giving a genuine low range, and with a locking rear differential. That combination in a vehicle this small is the reason S110s ended up on Japanese hillside farms.
The reading is 30,083 miles, which converts to roughly 48,400 km. Daihatsu's EF three-cylinder was fitted to the Hijet across two decades and several body styles, so the engine family has a very long track record behind it.
What you are buying
Tipping bed, low-range transfer case and a locking rear differential together are the top work specification in this class. The hydraulics empty the load, the low range moves it uphill, and the diff lock keeps both rear wheels driving when one of them is on something slick. Very few imported kei trucks carry all three.
Above $20,000 a kei dump truck is at the top of its category: the heaviest factory tipper specifications, often with a power take-off, low range and a locking differential together. Very few of these configurations were exported at all.
How to take it
Because it was built in 1998, the federal 25-year exemption applies and the usual FMVSS and EPA conformity requirements fall away. The paperwork side — import documentation and title — is our job, and we deliver anywhere in the US. Listed at $24,900 — tell us it is the one and we will take it off the market.
