On the V10 Tino
The Tino is a tall, short five-seat Nissan built from 1998 on Primera underpinnings, aimed at buyers who wanted a car-sized vehicle with van-like space. The SR20 four-cylinder in these is a well-known Nissan engine with a long service history. The Tino sold in modest numbers and was replaced without a direct successor.
The clock has passed six figures at 113,006 miles, about 181,900 km. Japan's shaken inspection regime means vehicles of this age in the domestic market have been presented for testing on a fixed cycle throughout their lives.
Why this configuration
Japanese-market saloons and coupes of this period were built to a domestic specification that never crossed to North America: different engines, different trim, different equipment, and in many cases a model that was simply never offered elsewhere. That is the reason to import one rather than buy a local equivalent — there is no local equivalent.
At this money a Japanese-market saloon or coupe is an inexpensive way into a car that was never sold new in the United States. The age is the price, and the specification is the reason to want it.
To proceed
Built in 1999, it sits the far side of the 25-year federal import cut-off. Import documentation and titling are handled at our end, and we ship nationwide. The figure is $7,795, and a message is all it takes to put it aside.
