About This 1999 Subaru Sambar
Our stock list has this 1999 Subaru Sambar Truck, wearing White available for immediate sale. Listed as 2WD, driving through a 5-speed manual transmission. Chassis number TT1-002948.
About the TT1 Sambar
TT1 is the rear-drive truck from the sixth-generation Sambar, launched in 1999 and the first Sambar drawn to the new 3.40-metre kei standard. Subaru carried the rear-mounted EN07 four-cylinder straight across from the previous car and kept building it this way until 2012, when the nameplate became a rebadged Daihatsu. That makes the TT series the last of the genuinely Subaru-engineered kei trucks.
It shows 54,600 miles on a gauge originally calibrated in kilometres, which puts it near 87,900 km. That sits in the middle of the band Sambars of this generation generally arrive at.

The practical side
A two-wheel-drive Sambar is rear-engined and rear-driven, which is a genuinely unusual thing to say about a pickup. The whole engine assembly sits behind the rear axle, directly above and behind the driven wheels, so the configuration carries a traction advantage that most two-wheel-drive trucks of any size simply do not have.
Under $5,000 is the entry point for an imported kei truck in the United States, and it generally means an older vehicle with a higher reading on the clock rather than a compromised one. Our kei truck price guide sets out what separates the bands.
To proceed
With a 1999 build year it clears the 25-year rule that applies to importing vehicles never sold new in the US. The paperwork side — import documentation and title — is our job, and we deliver anywhere in the US. There is a walkaround video on this listing alongside the photographs. Listed at $4,830 — tell us it is the one and we will take it off the market.
