About This 1999 Suzuki Carry
A 1999 Suzuki Carry EFI Turbo 4WD, 2Hi-4Hi-4Lo, PS, AC, 5MT, Rare! (White) — imported, landed, and available to buy today. Gearbox: manual. Recorded against chassis DB52T-109710.
On the DB52T Carry
The DB52T is the four-wheel-drive Carry truck of 1999 onwards, built to the post-1998 kei standard of 3.40 metres by 1.48 metres. Its fuel-injected 657cc F6A gave up the carburettor that the previous generation used, which is the main mechanical difference between a DB52T and a DD51T. Suzuki continued to offer a low-range transfer case and a locking rear differential on work-specification trucks in this range.
Odometer reading 60,559 miles, about 97,500 km. For a 660cc Suzuki commercial engine that is an unremarkable figure within the range these vehicles are exported at.

Reading the specification
Low range is the feature that separates a working kei truck from a four-wheel-drive one. A second set of reduction gears in the transfer case multiplies torque and divides road speed, so the truck can creep up a slope or out of a rut under load without the clutch doing the work. On a 660cc engine it is not a luxury — it is what makes the gradient possible at all.
Between $8,000 and $12,000 the market moves from ordinary trucks to better ones: later chassis, lower readings, fuel injection, air conditioning, or a factory option that is hard to find. The step up from the mid band is usually specification rather than condition.
Paperwork and shipping
At 1999 it is past the 25-year mark, which is the line that decides whether a Japanese-market vehicle can be imported at all. Import documentation and titling are handled at our end, and we ship nationwide. The figure is $11,900, and a message is all it takes to put it aside.
