The Carry Truck, in context
The Carry is the oldest continuously produced nameplate in the kei truck class, running since 1961, and the 1990s trucks use Suzuki's 657cc F6A three-cylinder under the cab floor. Suzuki sold more of them than anyone sold of anything else in the segment and supplied the same vehicle to Mazda as the Scrum, which is why parts and aftermarket support for this era are the best in the class.
Odometer reading 59,031 miles, about 95,000 km. For a 660cc Suzuki commercial engine that is an unremarkable figure within the range these vehicles are exported at.
What the specification means
The 4WD Carry is the default working kei truck in much of rural Japan. The layout is the orthodox one — cab over the front axle, engine under the floor, longest bed in the class for the length — with a front axle you select from the cab. On a farm track or a building plot that is the whole argument for it.
Mid-band pricing on a kei truck generally reflects a sound, unremarkable specification — the four-wheel-drive, five-speed, flat-bed combination that the majority of buyers are looking for in the first place.
Ordering and delivery
With a 1992 build year it clears the 25-year rule that applies to importing vehicles never sold new in the US. Import documentation and titling are handled at our end, and we ship nationwide. It is listed at $5,700. Get in touch to put a hold on it.
