About the DC51B Carry Dump
The B suffix on a 1990s Carry marks the factory dump body: DC51B is the rear-drive tipper version of the DC51T. Suzuki built these with the hydraulic ram and the hinged, reinforced bed from the factory rather than leaving it to a converter, so the frame and the pump are matched to each other. Running gear is the standard 657cc F6A truck package.
Shown on the clock: 43,300 miles, near enough 69,700 km. Suzuki's F6A and K6A three-cylinders were produced in enormous numbers across the Carry, Every and Jimny ranges, so the model line's service history as a whole is unusually well documented.
Putting it to work
The rear-drive Carry is the volume-selling version of the best-selling kei truck, with the engine under the cab driving the back axle through a short propshaft. It is the lightest configuration Suzuki offered and the cheapest to keep, and it leaves the full bed length — the longest in the class for the overall dimensions — completely usable.
This is the middle of the kei truck market. A 1997 Suzuki Carry Dump at this money is the ordinary working configuration rather than a specialist one: a straight bed, a common chassis, and the parts supply that comes with a model sold in volume.
Next steps
At 1997 it is past the 25-year mark, which is the line that decides whether a Japanese-market vehicle can be imported at all. Import documentation and titling are handled at our end, and we ship nationwide. There is a walkaround video on this listing alongside the photographs. Listed at $6,490 — tell us it is the one and we will take it off the market.
