What the DD51T Carry is
DD51T is the four-wheel-drive Carry built from 1991 to 1999, and it is one of the most widely exported kei trucks of its era. The 657cc F6A sits beneath the cab floor and drives the rear axle, with a selectable front axle and, on many trucks, an extra-low crawler gear in the gearbox. Suzuki also supplied this generation to Mazda, which sold it as the Scrum.
Odometer reading 51,000 miles, about 82,100 km. For a 660cc Suzuki commercial engine that is an unremarkable figure within the range these vehicles are exported at.
Reading the specification
Four-wheel drive on a Carry means a selectable front axle on a truck that is otherwise rear-driven from an engine beneath the cab. Suzuki sold more of these than anyone sold of anything else in the class, which matters in a practical way: the running gear is the best-documented and best-supported in the kei segment, and the trucks turn up with the widest range of factory work options.
This is the middle of the kei truck market. A 1999 Suzuki Carry Dump at this money is the ordinary working configuration rather than a specialist one: a straight bed, a common chassis, and the parts supply that comes with a model sold in volume.
How to take it
With a 1999 build year it clears the 25-year rule that applies to importing vehicles never sold new in the US. We take care of the entry documents and the title, then arrange shipping to wherever you are. There is a walkaround video on this listing alongside the photographs. Listed at $6,800 — tell us it is the one and we will take it off the market.
