Where the DC51T Carry fits
The DC51T is the rear-drive Carry truck of 1991 to 1999. Suzuki put the 657cc F6A three-cylinder under the seats in a cab-over layout, which is the conventional kei truck arrangement and the reason the Carry has the longest bed in the class for its length. The Carry nameplate has run continuously since 1961, so parts and aftermarket support for this generation are about as good as the segment gets.
The instrument reads 90,200 miles, roughly 145,200 km on its original kilometre scale. The Carry has been built continuously since 1961 and its engines were designed around sustained commercial use.
Putting it to work
The rear-drive Carry is the volume-selling version of the best-selling kei truck, with the engine under the cab driving the back axle through a short propshaft. It is the lightest configuration Suzuki offered and the cheapest to keep, and it leaves the full bed length — the longest in the class for the overall dimensions — completely usable.
We quote this truck individually. Where it has to travel is the single biggest swing on the final figure, so the honest thing is to ask for your delivery address first and give you one number afterwards.
How to take it
At 1997 it is past the 25-year mark, which is the line that decides whether a Japanese-market vehicle can be imported at all. Import documentation and titling are handled at our end, and we ship nationwide. A walkaround clip sits with the photographs on this page. There is no list price on this one. Send us a message with your location and we will put a figure to it.
