About the HA7 Acty
The HA7 is the four-wheel-drive truck from the Acty generation Honda launched in 1999 and built until 2009. It uses the fuel-injected 656cc E07Z in the same mid-mounted position as every Acty before it, and it was the first Acty designed to the wider post-1998 kei dimensions. Honda offered a real-time system on many HA7s, which sends torque forward automatically when the rear wheels slip rather than waiting to be switched.
The clock shows 67,800 miles — call it 109,100 km, since the instrument was marked in kilometres when it left Japan. That is mid-range for a Honda kei vehicle of this era arriving in the United States.
The configuration
What a 4WD Acty gives you over the two-wheel-drive version is a front axle you can bring in when the surface stops cooperating — wet grass, loose gravel, a muddy field gate. The rest of the truck is unchanged: the same mid-mounted engine beneath the bed, the same low flat deck, the same cab that starts at the front bumper.
