About This 1999 Subaru Sambar
If a kei truck is what you are after, start with this 1999 Subaru Sambar Truck, wearing White. Specified 2WD, shifted by a 5-speed manual gearbox. The number on the plate is TT1-002393.
On the TT1 Sambar
TT1 is the rear-drive truck from the sixth-generation Sambar, launched in 1999 and the first Sambar drawn to the new 3.40-metre kei standard. Subaru carried the rear-mounted EN07 four-cylinder straight across from the previous car and kept building it this way until 2012, when the nameplate became a rebadged Daihatsu. That makes the TT series the last of the genuinely Subaru-engineered kei trucks.
The gauge reads 16,700 miles, or about 26,900 km as it was marked from the factory — a low figure by the standards of the Sambar's Japanese working life.

What the specification means
A two-wheel-drive Sambar is rear-engined and rear-driven, which is a genuinely unusual thing to say about a pickup. The whole engine assembly sits behind the rear axle, directly above and behind the driven wheels, so the configuration carries a traction advantage that most two-wheel-drive trucks of any size simply do not have.
This is the middle of the kei truck market. A 1999 Subaru Sambar Truck at this money is the ordinary working configuration rather than a specialist one: a straight bed, a common chassis, and the parts supply that comes with a model sold in volume.
How the purchase works
Built in 1999, it sits the far side of the 25-year federal import cut-off. Customs entry, import documentation and title work are all done here, and we arrange transport to any state. There is a walkaround video on this listing alongside the photographs. It is listed at $5,170. Get in touch to put a hold on it.
