The Carry Dump, in context
The Carry is the oldest continuously produced nameplate in the kei truck class, running since 1961, and the 1990s trucks use Suzuki's 657cc F6A three-cylinder under the cab floor. Suzuki sold more of them than anyone sold of anything else in the segment and supplied the same vehicle to Mazda as the Scrum, which is why parts and aftermarket support for this era are the best in the class.
Shown on the clock: 46,339 miles, near enough 74,600 km. Suzuki's F6A and K6A three-cylinders were produced in enormous numbers across the Carry, Every and Jimny ranges, so the model line's service history as a whole is unusually well documented.
How this one is set up
The combination of a tipping bed and four-wheel drive is the one that actually earns its keep: the drive gets a loaded truck onto soft ground and the hydraulics empty it without anyone lifting a shovel. On a kei-class chassis the whole thing still parks in a single-car space, which is the reason these sell to landscapers and smallholders rather than to fleets.
Between $5,000 and $8,000 a factory dump-bodied kei truck is sensibly priced — the hydraulics are the part you are paying for, and a converter would charge most of this band to fit them to a flat-bed afterwards.
Making it yours
With a 1992 build year it clears the 25-year rule that applies to importing vehicles never sold new in the US. You do not deal with the import paperwork; we do, and we organise delivery to your address. Listed at $7,700 — tell us it is the one and we will take it off the market.
