About This 1999 Suzuki Carry
The vehicle on this page is a 1999 Suzuki Carry Carb 2WD, 5MT, Next Generation, wearing White, imported and road-ready for the paperwork stage. Shifting is by a manual transmission. The chassis plate reads DA52T-120118.
The DA52T Carry, in context
DA52T is the rear-drive Carry of the generation Suzuki introduced in 1999 to the enlarged kei dimensions. The F6A three-cylinder carried over but moved to fuel injection, and the cab grew in both directions: this is the Carry with a noticeably roomier footwell than the 51-series truck it replaced. Suzuki also offered the K6A twin-cam engine in parts of this range.
The odometer records 10,501 miles, which is in the region of 16,900 km in the units the dial was printed in — toward the low end for a Carry-family vehicle coming out of Japan.

Putting it to work
The Carry formula has barely changed since 1961: cab pushed over the front axle, engine tucked beneath the floor, and every remaining millimetre of the statutory length given over to the bed. The result is the longest load deck in the class for the overall dimensions, on the best-supported running gear in the segment.
Between $8,000 and $12,000 the market moves from ordinary trucks to better ones: later chassis, lower readings, fuel injection, air conditioning, or a factory option that is hard to find. The step up from the mid band is usually specification rather than condition.
