Background on the DB52T Carry
The DB52T is the four-wheel-drive Carry truck of 1999 onwards, built to the post-1998 kei standard of 3.40 metres by 1.48 metres. Its fuel-injected 657cc F6A gave up the carburettor that the previous generation used, which is the main mechanical difference between a DB52T and a DD51T. Suzuki continued to offer a low-range transfer case and a locking rear differential on work-specification trucks in this range.
Odometer reading 56,500 miles, about 90,900 km. For a 660cc Suzuki commercial engine that is an unremarkable figure within the range these vehicles are exported at.
Reading the specification
Four-wheel drive on a Carry means a selectable front axle on a truck that is otherwise rear-driven from an engine beneath the cab. Suzuki sold more of these than anyone sold of anything else in the class, which matters in a practical way: the running gear is the best-documented and best-supported in the kei segment, and the trucks turn up with the widest range of factory work options.
